Residency in all the apartments at Frederick Douglass I and Frederick Douglass III is limited to those households having moderate to low incomes. In addition to standard wages, income includes monies received from many sources such as alimony, child support, pensions, and social security, etc. The units at Frederick Douglas I and Frederick Douglass III will serve at or below 60% of the area median income. Residency at Frederick Douglass Associates II is limited to serving households having low income, as determined by project-based assistance; income limits at or below 50% of the Area Median Income, according to household size. Household income is calculated as gross income received from all sources, including, but not limited to, standard wages, social security, pensions, child support, annuity, asset income, etc., minus allowable deductions; as determined by program regulations outlined in the HUD 4350.3, Chapter 5.

All income and qualification information provided by applicants must be verified before occupancy. The income qualification and certification process must also be completed annually upon lease renewal.
